Alex joined the Hillcrest team January, 2019 after spending nine years as the head professional at Dead Horse Golf Course in Knoxville, Tennessee. Alex is a second generation PGA Professional growing up at his father’s course in Hartford City, Indiana. Alex is a 2009 graduate of Methodist’s Golf Management Business program. He has an extensive range of talents, shining in the areas of merchandising, club fitting, tournament operation, and day to day operations. Alex was nominated for the 2017 and 2018 Merchandiser or the Year and Golf Professional of the Year for the Knoxville Chapter. Alex, his wife and four children are excited to call Indiana home once again!

Sharon joined Hillcrest in May of 2021 as the Office Manager. She has a degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has held numerous positions in accounting and compliance in her career, working for Batesville Casket Company, Lee’s Country RV, Retzner Oil and Refresco Beverages. Sharon and her husband reside in St. Leon and have two daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Marty joined the Hillcrest staff in March of 2020 as a Pro Shop Assistant, after retiring from the Education field after 35 years as an Administrator, Athletic Director, Teacher, and Coach.  He graduated from Indiana University and holds Graduate Degrees from Indiana Wesleyan Universtiy and Ball State University.  He assists with many of the golf and social events.  Recently he was moved to the Assistant General Manager position to assist with the day to day activities of all aspects of Hillcrest.  He and his wife Anne Marie have two grown boys and one grand son and reside in Milan, IN

My background begins with studying turfgrass at Purdue University. During that time I worked summer internships at Belterra Golf Club, Hyde Park Golf and Country Club, and Camargo Country Club. The relationships I've built in the tristate brought me the opportunity to work as a first assistant superintendent at Terrace Park Country Club and Belterra Golf Club. I have twelve years experience as a first assistant superintendent. My wife and I are blessed with two daughters, and we reside in Aurora In. My hobbies include home projects of all sorts, bowhunting our land, music, and golf. I'm excited to take on this position at Hillcrest, and want to produce the best possible golf experience for the members!
